You have to prove you’re responsible enough. Having dogs can **** at times. It’s a bigger responsibility than you’d think.

Just give them time and prove to them that you can take care of a dog by keeping your room clean and helping out when you are not asked…………………………

I would suggest that you show your parents that you’re able to take care of a dog.
I would suggest that you try doing some research on dogs using the Internet or by going to the library or something similar to that.
Another thing that you may want to do would be to help pay for the dog and any supplies that the dog needs.
Some things that you may have to pay for include:
Trips to the vet
Food
Grooming
Supplies like bowls and such
Good luck and I hope I helped you!

If your parents don’t want a dog they probably have a good reason Remember no one wants to be where they are not wanted including a dog.

What your parents say goes. Begging won’t work. You might want to show them you are responsibile for having a pet. You can’t have a pet for 1 month and love it then make your parents take care of it after that. Dogs are a lot of work. They need to be fed, walked, played with, taken to the vet, watched etc. These are some of the requirments for adopting at a shelter
Adoption Requirements
You must be 21 years of age.
You must have a valid I.D. with your current address.
You will be asked to fill out a questionaire when arriving at the shelter. The staff must okay your questionaire before you view the animals.
If living in an apartment, you must show proof that pets are permitted by your landlord. If you own a townhouse or condo, you must have copy of the by-laws saying youre allowed a pet.
Everyone in household must meet the animal before it can go home.
No interviews, filling out of questionaires, or viewing of animals is allowed within 15 minutes of closing.
Dogs are more work than just cuddling. The only way to get your parents to adopt a dog is to show respnsibility.

I am certain you have exhibited little or no responsibility to your parents. They wont let you get a dog because they know you are not responsible enough to have one. They know that it will shortly be their own burden as you will lose interest.
When you show them a little bit of maturity and responsibilty, you will not have to canvass for ideas on how to manipulate them into buying you a puppy.
In other words, GROW UP.

First of all, I think they want you to spend more time on your English homework. Spend some extra time on the grammar.
Secondly, quit trying to manipulate your parents. They are not a dumb as you think and will probably not fall for any tricks about feeling sorry for a dog that you sound like you are too immature to take care of in the first place.
Caring for an animal takes up a big chunk of your time and thoughts. You will have to give up extra cirricular activities to have time to take care of the dog. Plus you may have to give up some of the money you now spend on clothes and make up just to feed the dog. How would you like to know the money for you prom dress was going to feed the dog? Wouldn’t you resent that?
I would strongly advise you to grow up and get some responsibility under your belt before asking for a dog. That means showing that you are mature instead of trying to find ways to manipulate others.

use a puppy dog face (read this to the end it really might work)
show them you are responsible enough with other things
Or you can get one of your stuffed animals and act like it is a real dog by putting imaginary food and water down for it at the same time every day. Take it for a walk every day and act like you are letting it go out to the bathroom by setting it outside the door (but not if its cold out then just sit it by the door. You dont want them to get mad that you are letting the heat out) also put the money that you would be spending for food in a jar that says dog food on it, that way they see that you can afford it. (that money cant be SPENT ONCE ITS IN THERE until after the 30 day puppy trial is over and your parents see how good you are with your pet And let you get a real one. Also you can draw some poopy on a paper and act like you are cleaning it up in case your puppy has an accident in the house!
GOOD LUCK !! Must complete 30 day trial for this to be effective! Make sure your parents are there to see you doing all these things for your imaginary pet.

prove your responsible. help out neighbors with their dogs. keep your grades up. do your chores without being asked, and do extra without any arguements. you don’t say how old you are, but maybe get a volunteer job in a shelter. to help with costs maybe get a babysitting job if your old enough. if your not, hire yourself out as a mothers helper. a mothers helper keeps the kids amused so the mom can do laundry or take a nap, but doesn’t leave the house. and anyone who can read a story to younger kids is old enough to do that.

if ur parents say no then the answer is no. there is nothing u can do. they dont want to be the ones taking care of it when u dont feel like doing it anymore

Is there a reason you havent told us?Offer “good grades” ,extra chores, will you take care of the dog for 10 years or is it a “whim”…..do you live in a place conducive to taking care of a dog? Can you afford the care for the animal?Good luck…..

just show them how responsible you can be.(keep your room clean for a week, go to bed early for a week and do the dishes when not being asked for a week then ask them)

Well, I suggest writing a persuasive essay in school once you get the chance. You can write about how responsible you are for dogs.
