He could have some kind of infection. Allergic reaction to food. Infestation of fleas. There are a lot of things that only a Vet can give you a clear diagnosis of. At least the doctor can give it a shot to relieve the itching so it isn’t tormented too much.

He is having an allergic reaction to something, his food, fleas, a cleaning agent that your mom is using around the house, etc. A dog can be given Benadryl (a antihistamine) but you have to know the correct dosage for his size or he could overdose. You need to get him to a vet as soon as you can. Think if you had bumps and were itching constantly, it would drive you nuts right? The dog is feeling the same. Help him out by getting him some help.

Fleas! backcomb the dog looking for black dots (poo) or actual fleas. look first between the eyes, pull your thumb down towards the nose slowly they will move. If your house is hot, the fleas will not leave, they will infest carpets etc, dont let the dog on any furnature.

Those kind of symptoms could be from a number of things…Did you change her food..allergies..allergies can come up from a number of things indoors and out. Staph infection are very common..they usually make the dog stink and itch profusely..simple sav/ointment and antibiotics from vet works. Some infection are a pain to clear and take time with treatment. Flea’s try to move in with the dog when it starts getting cold outside. Other parasite may cause bumps are mange. There are different types of mange, like head lise. Most skin conditions are easily cured from meds some are harder then others

My mom’s dog had this problem…it turned out to be a food allergy. He had bumps on his skin that were like flaky and itchy. We had to place him on another food.
