Why is my dog weird about some dogs and not others?

I have a Chihuahua who is now 4 years old.
We are wanting to adopt another Chihuahua and need to make sure she likes them.
We know we should go for a boy because she definitely prefers boys but some dogs she instantly loves and others she doesn’t!!!
How do we know which one she will like so we can start looking into rescues?

well she which 1s she barks at n which 1 she stays calm with.bring her 2 the pet shop with u.let her choose the dog but make sure it is a boy.put her near the glass n she if she barks at him if not then that is the perfect dog.u do know wat i mean wen i say glass right.u know wen they have the dog bhind the glass wen u choose.yeah that.

they are a finicky breed of dog. take the dog with you when you take a dog from it’s rescue cage and see how they get along. SPCA will let you do that. that’s how i found out if my new dog would be gentle toward my house rabbit.and he is! good luck and happy new year!

Well I would say that any boy should be ok because the reason that she likes boys is because thatsex is like..this is gunna sound wierd..is like the head of the house and would feel like someone was taking that over if they were a girl…but any boy should be ok..if you adopt one and it doesn’t like the dog..you can always sell it…God luck

Since the 4 year old chihuaha is the alpha she will try to make any other dog ********** by whatever method it has to , in order to establish her dominance .

Go with a fixed boy and give them a week to get used to each other your girl might be jelouse of her toys and attention

take it to the pet store with you (in a cage)and let it check out all the dogs buy the bst one she likes search for boys that she can get along with

Do you like everybody you meet? You will have to introduce her to dogs you are interested in, and let her decide. The shelter will let you know how to best go about this. Whatever you do don’t just bring one home and expect them to get along. That will most likely result in a fight.
